What Matters To Us
When it comes to women’s health, “one-size-fits-all?” Nope. Every woman is gloriously unique, with needs that shift through cycles, seasons and life’s curveballs. At Her Matters you don’t just get one practitioner, you get a whole squad under one roof, actually talking to each other and caring for the whole you. Skip the beige and boring. Step into bold interiors, coffee at the ready and playlists that set the vibe. Health care that actually feels good the moment you arrive. We’re done with the old women’s health rulebook. We’re rewriting it with real bodies, real stories and real care at the centre.
The Core Of The Matter — Our People
-
Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics | Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Science | Bachelor of Science (Psychology) | Eating Disorders Credentialed Dietitian
Currently not seeing clients
I started Her Matters with a simple (but big) vision: to rewrite the women’s health rulebook. I wanted to create a clinic where women could finally access health care that’s modern and evidence-based, but never stuffy or serious. We keep it real, connected and fun. No beige waiting rooms, no awkward silences, just care that actually feels good.
These days, my role is less about seeing clients and more about being the Chief Hype Woman. You can find me championing our incredible team, curating the Her Matters vibe (yep, even down to the playlists in the waiting room), and making sure our cheeky reminders actually make you want to come back (and not forget).
When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll usually find me chasing my toddler, wrangling our Bernadoodle, sipping on a strong coffee, or plotting new ways to make women’s health care not just better, but something everyone’s actually talking about.

Master of Nutrition and Dietetics | Bachelor of Human Nutrition | Member of Dietitians Australia | Eating Disorders Credentialed Dietitian
Special interests:
Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
Selective eating and sensory feeding issues
Eating disorders and disordered eating
Building intuitive, health-promoting eating behaviours (in all bodies).
I grew up as a cautious eater, so I know first-hand how stressful picky eating, food rules, and “just one more bite” battles can feel. That’s why I’m passionate about helping both kids and adults find confidence, calm, and variety in what’s on their plate.
In the clinic, my style is collaborative and non-judgy. We’ll work together to make sure you’re getting the nutrients your body needs, while also tackling the mealtime anxiety, sensory challenges, or social “food stress” moments that can pop up. It’s about food freedom, not food fear.
When I’m off the clock, you’ll usually find me with my dog Lucy, trying new recipes (even the messy ones), or hunting down the best chai in Canberra.

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) | PhD Candidate (Clinical Psychology)
WAITLIST ONLY (yep, she’s that good)
Special interests:
Eating disorders and body image concerns (adults)
Low self-worth and identity challenges
Anxiety, OCD and mood disorders
Relationship difficulties and trauma.
I know that struggles with eating, shape and weight can feel overwhelming, and I’m here to support you in a way that feels safe, collaborative and free of judgement. I’ve worked in both private and public settings, including inpatient and outpatient eating disorder services, and my PhD research focuses on the link between relationships and eating disorder symptoms.
In the clinic, I take a warm, client-centred approach. That means we’ll work together on what matters most to you. Reaching out for help can feel daunting, but you’re not alone. Wherever you’re at in your journey, I’ll walk alongside you toward recovery in a way that feels right for you.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me with a coffee in hand, lost in a good book, or planning my next travel adventure.
Keen to see Katelin? Flick us an email at hello@hermatters.com.au and we’ll pop you on her waitlist.

Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) | Member of Dietitians Australia | Eating Disorders Credentialed Dietitian
Special interests:
Eating disorders and disordered eating
Health At Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating
Gut health (including Irritable Bowel Syndrome / IBS and FODMAP management).
I first came to this work through lived experience, supporting and caring for loved ones with eating disorders showed me just how powerful the right help can be. Now, as a credentialed dietitian, I’m passionate about walking alongside others in recovery, helping them reconnect with food and their bodies in a safe, compassionate way.
Alongside my clinic work, I also run talks at high schools on healthy eating. No boring food pyramids, just real talk, no diet culture, and honest chats about food and bodies.
When I’m off the screen, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen as an avid home cook, hunting down second-hand interior styling gems, or hosting a dinner party filled with good food, good music, and plenty of laughs.
-
Bachelor of Physiotherapy | Level 1 & 2 APA Women’s and Pelvic Health | Certificate III & IV in Fitness
I’m a Women’s Health Physio with a passion for helping women navigate pelvic health, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. Having experienced pelvic pain myself, I know how powerful it is to have someone listen, understand, and treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
My special interests include:
Pelvic floor assessment and education
Pelvic pain disorders and painful intercourse (including vaginismus, endometriosis, and PCOS-related pain)
Navigating pregnancy and postpartum recovery
Bladder, bowel and continence concerns
Pre- and post-gynaecological surgery support.
In the clinic, I support women through every stage of life. From pregnancy prep and post-baby recovery, to easing pelvic pain or tackling those “is this normal?” body quirks that are too often brushed aside. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and designed to make physio fit into your life, not the other way around.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me curled up with my cat Claz and a good book, snowboarding in winter, or paddleboarding around Canberra in summer.

After a 25-year career in midwifery, joining the Her Matters team has been an absolute joy. Women’s health has always been my passion, and now I get to keep supporting women and families from behind the scenes. As Head of All the Bits That Matter, I take care of the big and small things behind the scenes so our clinicians can pour their energy into what really matters, caring for our clients.
Life outside of Her Matters is wonderfully full with my three gorgeous kids, their equally gorgeous partners, and our three fur babies. Add in a recently retired husband (who’s very good at ticking off my to-do lists), and there’s never a dull moment. I love long beach days, snowy ski trips, good books, good food, and even better company.
It’s a privilege to watch Her Matters flourish, delivering bold, brilliant women’s health care to our community with heart (and the occasional confetti moment).

Master of Applied Psychology | Bachelor of Psychology (with Legal Studies)
Special interests:
Pregnancy and early motherhood
Parenting challenges
Stress, anxiety and mood difficulties
Trauma and family domestic violence
Life and career transitions
Low self-worth and identity challenges
I’m all about supporting women through the messy, magical, and sometimes downright overwhelming seasons of life. While I work across a wide range of presentations, my heart lies in pregnancy and early motherhood, a passion born from my own first-time mum experience (spoiler: it was way harder and lonelier than I ever imagined).
As a mum of two, and an experienced perinatal psychologist, I get how heavy the emotional load of motherhood can feel. Whether it’s perinatal anxiety and depression, fertility struggles, grief and loss, identity shifts, relationship changes or birth trauma, I’m here to listen without judgement, ask the real questions, and remind you that no feeling is too small or “too awkward” to bring up.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me chasing the Perth sunshine, out on a walk with my favourite podcast, or soaking up time with my two girls. I’m also a bit of a personal development nerd, naturally curious, always learning, and never without a new podcast or book on the go.

With years of experience as a dietitian in both regional/rural Queensland and the UK, I’ve had the privilege of supporting countless women and families to feel their best during pregnancy and beyond. My philosophy is simple: food should be nourishing, enjoyable, and sustainable. Balance, not restriction, is the key to great health, and I’ll work with you to build habits that align with your goals and lifestyle.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me outdoors with my toddler and fur baby, enjoying yoga or pilates, or sharing a glass of wine and good food with friends.

Nada, zilch, zip! As part of our quest to make women’s health more accessible, you don’t need that official-looking slip of paper with your doctor’s scrawl on it.
But if you DO have one from your GP or specialist, please send it to hello@hermatters.com.au before your appointment.

We do things a little differently here - longer appointments, deeper convos, and no rushed vibes. We're all about care that gets you.
We’re not a bulk-billing bunch, but we do love a GP care plan as it means you can get $98.95+ back on psychology and $61.80+ back on dietitian and physio appointments. Oh, and yes - we run on time (because we know you’ve got places to be).

We get it — it’s raining cats and dogs, you’re WFH and the last thing you want to do is trudge on over to Her Matters to see us.
We do need some notice, though, to emotionally prepare for your rejection. 24 hours should do the trick so please make sure you give us that! Plus, it helps us open up your appointment slot to make women’s health accessible to others.
If you miss or cancel your appointment within this 24-hour period, your full consultation fee will be charged because we’ll need the pennies to buy some pick-me-up treats.
Got a Monday appointment? Please let us know that you won’t make it by Friday 3pm before you lose us to Happy Hour!
-
Yes! Even if you're feeling under the weather (or can’t be bothered to face the weather), we want you to have the chance to keep your appointment. Plus, remember that as of November 2020, the Powers That Be approved permanent access to medicare rebates for telehealth services!
